Exploiting & Creating Openings to Attack
Exploiting & Creating Openings to Attack
An opening is more than an exposed target. It is a temporary opportunity to attack—and the ability to recognize and exploit that opportunity before it disappears is an important fighting skill.
This webinar examines both sides of the problem: exploiting openings that occur naturally and deliberately creating openings when your opponent isn't giving you one.
We explore opportunities produced by commitment, displacement, recovery, changes in distance and angle, attention, attack, defense, and movement. We then examine ways to deliberately create opportunities through threat, drawing responses, expectation, positioning, pressure, and deception.
The emphasis is on practical application rather than predetermined combinations. You'll learn specific concepts and exercises you can incorporate into your own training to improve your ability to see opportunities, exploit them while they exist, and create them when they don't.
